Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Cream Pot whose form and decoration indicate that it was made by Edward and Thomas Edmands who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts from 1852-1868 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).

 

This beauty features the Cream Pot Form with Tall Neck and Bulbous Base, and a Brushed Cobalt Floral.  The curvy floral boasts 10 leaves and a blossom with 4 petals and 12 dots.  A simple, but impressive decoration! Stands 11 1/4" tall.

 

Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Three stonepings in the making: inside at the rim, bottom left front (closeup), and back center left.
