Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Yellow Ware Meal Canister with Lid.
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Warm Pumpkin Coloration, White Slip Banner with "Meal" Stenciled on It, and the Original Lid.  The jar itself stands 7 3/4" and is a full gallon size.
 
Excellent Condition.  The base has four adjacent faint and short (1 1/2" or less) firing lines inside at one point (closeup).  Otherwise as made.  The lid has a flat 1/2" flake on the outer edge of the seating ring on the underside.  Otherwise as made.
