Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar.
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Brilliant Cobalt Decoration that Includes Vining at the Top, a Plant with Two Leaves and Three Blossoms in the Middle, and the Capacity Number at the Bottom.  The cobalt is bright and shiny and really pops out on the light gray glaze.  Stands 11" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Glaze wear inside the rim and on the lid seating ring.  Otherwise, as made. No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
