Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Quite Unique 1 Gallon Jug with a Bird in Flight Decoration. 
 
Circa 1880 and coming from the Northeast or New York, this beauty features the work of a decorator who got bored with the traditional bird on a branch and "branched" out to create a Bird in Flight in Bright and Shiny Cobalt.  Wish we would see more of this decorator's work!  Stands 11 1/2" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition. Two pinhead-size nibbles on the spout. That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some drying/firing lines on the base and a 2" chip on the bottom of the left side in the making.
