Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar that reads, "From W. D. Cooper, No. 7 Diamond, Pittsburgh." Cooper was a grocery merchant in Pittsburgh, PA
This jar was made in Greensboro, Pennsylvania by James Hamilton Circa 1880.
This beauty features a Tooled Rim, Three Top Cobalt Stripes and One Bottom, and 5 Lines of Advertising in an Oval. The light gray glaze and plenty of shiny cobalt really make a pleasing visual. Stands 8 14" tall.
Excellent Condition. A minor nibble and a 1/4" chip inside the rim. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
