Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Jug made for the merchant, "A. Andries Son, Wholesale LIquor Dealer, 179 Federal St., Allegheny, PA."
It was made in the late 19th century and features a Rich Brown Glaze with Five Lines of Stenciled Advertising. An unusual glaze for a jug made in SW Pennsylvania at this time. Stands 10 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip on the right side of the spout and two flakes at the base (1/4", 3/8"). A thin film of oil on the inside bottom. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
