Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "T. F. Reppert, Manufacturer, Greensboro, Pa." 
 
Thomas Reppert made pottery solo in Greensboro from 1884-1890 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 157-159).  
 
This beauty features a Tooled Rim Accented with by Two Stripes, the Shoulder with a Wavy Stripe, the Company Advertising in the Middle with Leaf and Diamond Accents, and a Freehand "3" Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves and Underscored by a Stripe at the Bottom.  Stands 14 1/2" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Some light surface wear.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
