    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Exquisitely Molded Beer Mug made for the Schlitz Brewing Co., Milwaukee.

     

    This beauty was made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y. and features exquisite detailing that only the Whites Pottery could do in its heyday of making molded stoneware (1890-1907) .

     

    The mug has the Schiltz Brewing Company Name and Address in Fancy Script Framing a Globe Encircled by a Banner Bearing the Company Name on one side, and a German Beer House Saying on the other:  Wann's Eim schmecht dann soll mer esse aber's Trinke nit vergesse which means, "When it tastes good, you should eat, but don't forget to drink."  Fancy top and bottom borders and handle complete the decoration. Measures 5" tall.
