    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Tiny 1/2 Gallon Cream Pot made by "A. Conrad, New Geneva, Fayette Co., PA."  

     

    Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).

     

    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Small Size, Squared Rim, Rounded Sides, and Four Lines of Advertising with Accents.  Dark cobalt was used throughout. Stands 6 1/2" tall.    

     

    Uncommon small size and stronger than usual cobalt decoration.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some scattered staining and a faint 1/2" hairline at the rim on the right side (closeup).   That's it!  No rim or base chips, cracks, or restoration.
