Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jug made for "Samuel Bing, Liquor Dealer, No. 17 Diamond St., Pitts, PA." 
 
This is not a name that I have ever encountered in Pittsburgh stoneware.
 
It was made in Greensboro, Pennsylvania.  
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features the coveted 1/2 Gallon Size, and the Company Advertising in 5 Lines of Stenciled Lettering accented by Leaves.  Stands 9 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two minor 3/16" flakes on the spout, a 1/4" chip at the base, and some light staining.  That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Typical manufacturing imperfections.
