Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare 2 Gallon Stoneware Snuff Jar made for "Weyman & Bro., Pittsburgh, Pa."
 
Weyman sold snuff in the late 19th century.  The jar was made in Southwestern Pennsylvania, probably at either New Geneva or Greensboro.
 
Dating about 1880, this beauty features a Large Size, the Company Name and Address in an Arch Framed by a Broad Top and Bottom Stripe.  On the back is a Large Tobacco Leaf.  Stands 12" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Professional restoration for a 1" surface chip on the rim on the right side (closeup).  A couple short, faint craze lines, and light scattered staining.  No chips, hairlines, or cracks.
