Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Redware Bottle made and stamped on the bottom by "J. L."

 

This is the mark of Justus L. Blaney (1809-1875) who worked in Cookstown (now Fayette City), Fayette County, Pennsylvania from around 1825 to 1854.

 

This beauty features a Gunpowder Black Glaze and the Large Potter's Initials at the Base. Stands 9 1/2" tall. 

 

Excellent Condition. A couple minor nibbles on the spout.  That's it!  No chips,hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
