Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this imposing 4 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by the "New York Stoneware Company, Fort Edward, N.Y." 
 
This company was in operation in Fort Edward, New York from 1859-1885.
 
This beauty features a Large Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Sizeable Dotted Floral Decoration Created with a Slip Cup in Brilliant Cobalt. Stands 17 1/2" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A flat chip on top of the spout, a 1/4" flake and ping on the left side of the spout, and a 3/4" chip on the underside at the edge.  Professional restoration for a line below the spout on the right side that comes down on the right side of the handle to the center of the back.  Very hard to see (closeup).
