Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware 3 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "N. Clark, Jr., Athens, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of Nathan Clark, Jr. of Athens, N.Y. who ran the family pottery from 1843-1891 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 66).
 
This beauty sports a Tall and Narrow Form, Round Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Gorgeous Double Tulip Decoration.  The brushed cobalt floral has multiple leaves and two large blossoms.  Stands 15 1/2" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip inside the spout and at the base.  Some staining at the bottom from use.   That's it!  No outer spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A stone ping on the left side in the maklng.
