Item 11714
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Small Pitcher with Fancy Embossed Decoration.
This piece was made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y. between 1890 and 1907 when they made their line of elaborate molded stoneware. It is pictured in The Blue and the Gray: Oneida County Stoneware by Christopher Bensch, p. 64.
This beauty features a Large Lily Decoration on One Side, and a Bouquet of Daffodils on the Other, with a Leaf on the Handle. The decoration is embossed and accented with rich cobalt. Lots of detail in the decoration for a strong presentation. Measures 6 1/4" tall.
This is the most popular piece of Whites pottery in my sales record. Usually sells very fast.
Excellent Condition. A single pinhead-size nibble on the front beaded border. Otherwise, as made.
