Coming to you from Doc's Crocks it this wonderful Redware Lidded Sugar Bowl with Sgraffito Decoration in a Sunflower Pattern.
It was made by Lester Breininger of Robesonia, Pennsylvania and is signed on the bottom, "Breininger Pottery, Robesonia, PA, August 12, 2003, Very Nice Day." Breininger was a maker of fine Redware in the old tradition.
This sugar bowl features a Sgraffito Decoration of a Sunflower Decoration on both Sides with red and green slip decoration. The lid repeats the pattern. Stands 5" tall to the top of the knob.
Excellent Condition. The sugar bowl is as made. The lid has a 1/2" flake on the underside at the edge (3 o'clock in the next to last picture).
