Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Fantabulous 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock with Fancy Floral.
 
I believe crocks with this decoration are from New York, but I have never been able to determine their origin. 
 
Circs 1870, this beauty features Detailed Floral Executed with a Slip Cup that Covers the Entire Front.  Six leaves of various sizes and types hold up a huge blossom wth three large petals.  There are dashes and dots everywhere.  In fact, there are 74 dots!  Definitely classifies as folk art.  Measures 10 1/4" tall and 11" wide.  
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip inside the rim and some small, light scattered stains. No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
