    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this pretty Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.  

     

    Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Semi-Ovoid Form with Rounded Borders, Pinched Spout, Handle with Prominent Thumbgrip, and Attractive Blue Sponging.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.

     

    A less common form of spongeware pitcher than is typically found.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A very narrow 3/8" sliver glaze flake on the bottom edge, and some very light staining inside from use.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Minor pinhead-size stone ping in the making.
