  • Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this pretty Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.  


    Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty feastues a Semi-Ovoid Form with Rounded Borders, Pinched Spout, Handle with Prominent Thumbgrip, and Attractive Blue Sponging.  Stands 10" tall.


    A less common form of spongeware pitcher than is typically found.


    Excellent Condition.  Very minor wear and tiny nibbles around the inside of the rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  What looks like a flake on top of the left side of the spout is a glaze skip in the making.
