Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Most Unusual Spongeware Pitcher.
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Semi-Ovoid Form, Handle with Thumbgrip, Top and Bottom Blue and White Stripes, and Cobalt Sponging. Stands 10" tall.
This is not a common form for spongeware pitchers, especially in this large 10" size.
Excellent Condition. Five minor, adjacent nibbles-chips on the inside of the rim in one spot (pinhead to 3/8", closeup). That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
If you collect blue and white or spongeware, this is a pitcher you may not have in your display.
