Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Tall Neck with Slightly Pinched Spout in Albany Slip Glaze, Collar of Embossed Shells, Bulbous Base with Patterned Cobalt Sponging, and Footer. Stands 8 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. The small chips inside the rim (1/8" to 3/16"), and wear to the top of the rim. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Small glaze skip on top of the rim in the making.
