Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon Large Size Blue and White Spongeware Butter Crock.  
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Rounded Molded Rim, "Butter" in a Rectangular Frame, and Controlled Sponging in Careful Horizontal and Vertical Rows.  Pretty and shiny sponging too!
 
This is the large size measuring 6 1/2" tall and 9 1/4" wide across the top.  As you know, tough to find in this size!
 
Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble inside the rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
