Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon Large Size Blue and White Spongeware Butter Crock.  
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Rounded Molded Rim, the "Butter" Label, and Controlled Sponging in Careful Rows.  
 
This is the large size measuring 6" tall and 9" wide across the top.  As you know, tough to find in this size!
 
Very Good Condition.  Two adjacent chips on the left side, bottom edge (3/4", 1"), and a 1" line on the bottom that comes up the right side as a 4" hairline near the base (closeup).   No rim chips, rim down hairlines, stains, or restoration.
