Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Blue and White Stoneware Spongeware Pitcher in the Girl and Dog Pattern.
 
As you know, this pitcher is rare in the more typical blue and white, but even rarer in the spongeware. Taylor and Lowrance in Salt Glaze Stoneware call the spongeware version "one degree beyond extremely rare" (p. 42). 
 
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features an Oval Medallion on Each Side that Hosts a Young Girl on the Right Feeding Her Dog on the Left as He Rears up on His Hind Legs.  The sponging is profuse and in a pleasant shade of blue-- just the way we all like it!  Stands 8 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.   A single flat 1/4" flake inside the rim where the spout meets the side (closeup).  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
