Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "L. B. Dilliner,
New Geneva, PA."
This is the work of Leander Dilliner, son of S. R. Dilliner, who ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1874-1880 (Phil Schaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners pp. 166).
This beauty features a straight stripe accenting the rim, and the Company Advertising Framing a Flower and Accented on the Top Corners by Rosebuds and Bottom Corners by Floral Sprigs. Stands 12" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some water glass staining inside and some very light, scattered staining. No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. A glaze drip from inside on the front left in the making.
