Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made for "Jos. Bernard, Pure California Wines  & Brandies, 1903 Blue Island Ave., Chicago, ILL."  
 
It was made by the Red Wing Stoneware Company between 1900 and 1920.  
 
Dating between 1900 and 1920, this beauty features a Platform Shape with a Very Graphic Label Featuring the Advertising on the End of a Cask on the Left, and Bacchus the god of Wine Seated on a Bunch of Grapes and Holding a Bottle of Bernard's Finest on the right!  Stands 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" glaze rub on the right side of the spout, some nibbles on the platform on the left side, and three small chips on the underside at the edge (1/4" to 3/8").  That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
