Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."   
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Top and Bottom Stripe and the Company Advertising in Three Lines Surrounding a Flowering Branch of a Rose Bush.  Stands 10" tall.   
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple minor chips on the underside in the back (1/4", 3/8").  Otherwise, as made!
