Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 3/4" Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."  
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Desired Small Size, Tooled Rim with Groove for the Hot Wax, and the Company Advertising in Script-like Cobalt Lettering.  Stands  6 3/4" tall.   
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  A 1/2" firing line  on the inner rim in the making.
