Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Cream Pot made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."   
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Advertising in Four Lines, with the Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves at the Bottom. The stenciling is complete and crisp, the cobalt bright and shiny, and the contrast with the light gray glaze exceptional.  Measures 9 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" wide across the top.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Some scattered light staining from use.  Otherwise, as made!
