Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."   
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Finely Tooled Rim, Wide Top and Bottom Cobalt Stripes, and the Company Advertising with Subtle Accents in the Middle.  Stands 10 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor wear.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Mottled glaze in the making.
