Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher made and stamped on the bottom by "BAUER."

This is the mark of John Andrew Bauer who founded a pottery in Los Angeles in 1909 and whose company was successful making multi-colored pieces in the 1920's through the 1930's.

Dating in that period, this beauty features a Minimalist Form with a Trace of a Rim and Slightly Canted Sides, and a Fine and Dark Cobalt Sponging.  Stands 7" tall.

Excellent Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  On the side with the handle pointing left, there is a narrow kiln touch down the middle, and a 1" surface drying line on the rim (closeup) in the making.
