Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Lidded Jar with Original Paper Label.  It reads, "Heinz Mince Meat, H. J. Heinz Co., Pittsburgh, U.S.A., Pickling and Preserve Works.  Registered at Washington, D. C. Dec. 1885." 
 
The jar is stamped on the back at the bottom, "Patented Feb. 14, 1895."  
 
This beauty features the Original Paper Label and Bail Handles.  Stands 6" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the back at the bottom and some scattered dark crazing.  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The lid has some minor nibble on the underside edge and light crazing.  Otherwise, as made.
