Coming to you from Doc's  Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Apple Butter Crock made by "Hawthorn Pottery Co., Hawthorn, PA."  
 
The Hawthorn Pottery Co. was in operation from 1899 to 1923 (see Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 124-26).
 
This beauty features the Company Advertising on the Front.  Measures 7 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" wide across the top.
 
Very Good Condition.  Three 1/4" chips and a 1" chip on the outside of the rim.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
