Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Semi-Ovoid Shape, Flared Rim, and a Top and Bottom Stripe that Frames the Company Advertising Surrounding a Delicate Floral and Framed on the Top Corners by Tulips. The Capacity Number Accented by Leaves Finishes the Decoration at the Bottom. Measures 9 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Some scattered glaze wear and light staining. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
