Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Early 1/2 Gallon Ovoid Jug stamped "Charlestown."
This is the stamp of Frederick Carpenter who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts for Barnabas Edmands from 1812-1827 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).
This beauty features a Small Size, Early Ovoid Form, Reeded Neck, Clear "Charlestown" Stamp, and Ochre Dip on Bottom. Stands 9 1/4" tall.
Fair Condition. A crack from the shoulder to the base on the back. Otherwise, mint 😎
