Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Fancy Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.
Circa 1890, this beauty features a Scalloped Rim with Embossed Scrollwork, Embossed Base, and Blue and White Sponging. Stands 6 1/2" tall.
I found it a decade ago in a small shop in Columbus, Ohio.
Very Good Condition. Two small contiguous flakes inside (1/8", 1/4"), and a 3/4" chip on the footer that is partly in the making (closeup). No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
