    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania (probably Greensboro).

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty has the Wax Sealer Form with Carefully Tooled Rim, and a Sprig of a Rose with Five Leaves and a Blossom.  The stenciling is creative, complete, and crisp.  Stands 8 3/4" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some very light staining from use. That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Roughness around the top of the rim in the making.
