Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Wax Sealer Canning Jar.
 
Circa 1870 and coming from Southwestern Pennsylvania, this beauty features the Wax Sealer Grooved Rim for Pouring the Wax Sealant and a Straight Stripe at the Rim and Base with Comma Vining in Between.  Seven leaves of vining in all.  Dark cobalt on a light gray glaze for strong contrast.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two 1/4" chips and some nibbles inside the rim as shown.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
