Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.  
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Rim with Groove for the Wax Sealant, and Three Straight Cobalt Stripes Evenly Spaced Down the Front.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A 1/8" chip in the inner rim, an 1/8" nibble inside the outer rim, and a 2 1/2" faint vertical line on the left bottom that wraps under 2 1/2" (closeup).  No outer rim or base chips, cracks, stains or restoration. a narrow 3/4" chip on the right bottom is in the making and glazed over.
