Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jar with Comma Vining.
It is easy to attribute this jar to Richard Remmey who ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Squared Rim and Shoulder, and Three Units of Brushed Comma Vining Around the Shoulder. Stands 8 1/4" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind.
