Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Stoneware Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania and attributed to Beaver, PA.

 

Circa 1870, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim with Cobalt Stripe Accent, Applied Grooved Handles with Cobalt Accent at the Handle Terminals, Brushed Cobalt Vining on the Front and the Capacity Number flanked by Vertical Wavy Lines on the Back.  Stands 14 1/2" tall.

 

Very Good Condition.  A narrow 1" chip on top of the rim, and two surface-only lines:  1 1/2" at the base that wraps under 1 1/2" (closeup), and across the inside bottom.  No chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
