    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock with Freehand Decoration from Beaver, Pennsylvania.

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim and Shoulder and Two Cobalt Stripes that Frame a Large Sideways Tulip.  The tulip has 6 leaves and a  blossom with 6 petals.  Measures 9 3/4" tall and wide across the top. 

     

    Good Condition.  A 1" chip on the rim in the back.  Three short and fine hairlines from the rim- 2 1/2" on the left side and two in the front on either side of the capacity number (3 1/2" closeup; and 2 1/2").  Some glaze flakes mainly in the back as shown.  No base chips, stains, or restoration.
