Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Stoneware Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Circa 1865, this beauty features the Capacity Number with Underscore at the Top and a Vine with a Fushsia Blossom in the Middle. Additional cobalt on the handle terminals. Stands 15" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 5" inbody hairline on the back center (closeup). That's it! No rim or base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration. A 1" chip on the left hande and a 3/8" surface clay void on the back near the bottom in the making.
