Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this attractive 1 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar whose form and decoration indicate that it was made in Beaver, Pennsylvania.
 
Circa 1865, this beauty features a Heavy Construction with Inner Ring for a Lid, Tooled Rim, Rounded Sides, and a Brushed Cobalt Sideways Tulip.  The decoration is composed of two dozen brush strokes of dark and shiny cobalt.   Stands 10 1/4" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  A very faint 2" hairline from the rim on the right side (closeup).  Otherwise, as made.
