Item 12247
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 1/2" Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.
It was made by the Uhl Pottery of Huntingburg, Indiana (Anna Mary Feldmeyer & Kara Holtzman, Uhl Pottery, 2nd ed., p. 25). This is the smallest of 3 sizes, standing 6 1/2" tall.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty has a Tall Neck, Pinched Spout, Lace Collar, Bulbous Body, and Gorgeous Diffused Blue Coloration.
The coloration makes this pitcher rare. Virtually all of these pitchers are blue and white spongeware. I have never seen one with diffused blue coloration nor one mentioned in any books or online sales.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind.
