Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 3 Gallon Ovoid Jug made in Ohio.
 
Circa 1850, this beauty features a Heavy Construction, Ovoid Shape, Brushed "3" Capacity Number with Underscore, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip with Six Leaves and Large Blossom.  Stands 14 3/4" tall. 
 
Good Condition with Restoration.  On old restoration to replace the handle which has a vertical line down its middle from age.   The decoration is glazed like there may have been restoration there too, but it is not obvious what it might have been for.   Great shelf piece.
