Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped for the merchant, "C. W. Skinner, Elmira, N.Y." Charles Skinner was a potter in Rochester and Fulton, NY, but there is no record of this potter in Elmira. (William Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State 1650-1900, pp. 317, 388). Thus I am assuming this Skinner is a merchant
