    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jug made by "C. L. Williams & Co., New Geneva, PA."


    This is the work of Charles L. Williams who worked in New Geneva from 1896-1898 after taking over the pottery of R. T. Williams who ran the pottery from 1882 to 1895 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 168-70).  


    This Beauty Sports a Top Wavy Stripe and Bottom Straight Stripe that frame the Company Advertising in Four Lines and the Freehand "3" Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves below. Stands 15 3/4" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  A 1" surface craze line on the left side of the handle (closeup).  Faint surface craze lines around the shoulder from the firing/age.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A couple 1/4" shallow voids and dry glaze in the making.
