Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "Burger & Co., Rochester, N.Y."
 
This is the mark of John Burger, Jr. who ran the family pottery under this stamp from 1877-1879 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and the Capacity Number Surrounded by a  and a Large Freehand Cobalt Wreath.  This was a signature design of the Burger pottery.  Measures 9" tall and 10 1/2" wide across the top.
 
Very Good Condition.  A water glass ring inside, a 1/2" chip inside the rim, and scattered staining from use.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
