Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Preserve jar made and stamped by the "Burger Bro's & Co., Rochester, N.Y." 
 
This is the mark of John Burger, Jr. and his brother, George, who ran the pottery with this stamp from 1867-1870 (William Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900, p. 379). 
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp the Shoulder.  Stands 9 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" flake on the right handle and some staining near the bottom from use.  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
